Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene looked stunning together as they appeared in Paris to promote the French premiere of Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn, Part 1. They were greeted ecstatically by French fans.
Greene, 24, wore a tailored blue Givenchy dress that was conservative and tasteful, yet still accentuated her curves. She also wore black stiletto sandals and a necklace. Rob, 25, wore a slate gray Dolce & Gabbana jacket and pants with a gray patterned shirt.
While Rob and Ashley look positively spectacular together (watch out Kristen Stewart!), Greene is said to be dating Broadway star Reeve Carney, who is appearing in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Stewart, who is filming “Snow White and the Huntsman” in the UK, did not make the trip.
Ashley and Rob play Cullen vampire clan members Alice and Edward Cullen, in the Twilight movies. Fans gathered at the Cinema Gaumont Capucine early in the day and it was a typical “Twilight” premiere. The crowd went wild as Rob stopped outside to meet fans and sign autographs. While Kristen has been in the British Isles, Rob has been using his downtime to grow a shaggy beard. He was spotted leaving L.A. and landing in Paris with it. But for the press event Sunday (Oct. 23), he had whittled it down to stubble with a slightly longer goatee.
Rob seems to favor a beard when he’s not working. He was first spotted with advancing growth in London in January 2010 as he made his way for his appearance on George Clooney’s “Hope For Haiti” telethon. He was most recently spotted in September with a fairly full beard, but apparently had to shave it off to shoot some re-takes on “Cosmopolis.”
He was spotted in the airport by ever present paparazzi, which is a fact of life for most celebrities, but particularly daunting for Rob, who is not a publicity hound. Other stars don’t envy him. “I feel really, really, genuinely fortunate not to have to deal with that right now,” Anna Kendrick, told EW magazine, referring to Rob and Kristen.
“It’s like a prison. It’s a really nice prison, but so what? You still can’t leave your home. I feel happy that that’s not my reality right now.”The beard may also help Rob low-key it, now that he is between films. But his distinctive looks are hard to mask, outside of wearing a mask. Still, Rob seemed to make the best of the pandemonium and looked like he was enjoying himself.
