Robert Pattinson is a busy man! He just finished filming, “Cosmopolis,” then headed to Comic-Con to begin promoting his next film, “Breaking Dawn Part 1.” As if that was not enough, the trailer for his next movie, “Bel Ami” has just hit the internet. My oh my! Those who wanted to see a little more Robert than what is subtly teased in the teen Twilight movies will be thrilled to see him act like an adult.
This movie trailer shows why women of all ages are smitten with this guy. His career exploded when he played a teenage vampire, but some moms out there recognized his sultry good looks as well. Adult female fans will get to see Robert portray a French version of Don Juan. Robert’s character, Georges Duroy, manages to become a successful journalist after sleeping his way to the top.
Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas will all play women Robert seduces for his own professional advancement. Robert’s character is apparently quite skillful in the bedroom, and he has no problem getting married women in positions of power to sleep with him. His manipulations quickly earn him a job at the top of his journalistic career.Georges manages to marry his deceased friend’s widow, played by Uma, which instantly launches him into the world of the rich and famous. As secrets are revealed and cheating spouses exposed, the movie will really heat up. The movie is based on the popular French novel, Bel Ami, written by Guy de Maupassant.
Robert spoke out about his part in “Bel Ami.” He says, “I think there’s a lot of my crack in it; I think there’s quite a bit of nudity.” It sounds like the perfect movie to satisfy the appetites of the women craving to see their favorite vampire in action. Robert explains a bit more about the film, “It was such a strange story. I think it will turn out to be very interesting, but I have no idea about any of it yet.”Fans will have to wait until 2012 to see the movie. Until then, they will have to whet their appetites with his upcoming Twilight movie.
